Yes. A certified translation, certified by a lawyer of the Ordem dos Advogados or a notary, is what AIMA, Portuguese courts and civil registries accept. It is €99.99 per page, delivered in 48–72 hours. If a formatting query is raised attributable to our work, we revise and reissue at no extra cost.
Do my English documents need translating for AIMA?
No. AIMA accepts documents in English, French and Spanish without translation. Documents in any other language need a certified translation: by a Portuguese notary, a registrar, a lawyer or solicitador, a chamber of commerce or industry, or the consulate.
What is a translation with translator's declaration?
The translator signs a statement of accuracy (Declaração de Fidelidade), with signature and seal, without a lawyer's or notary's certification. It is €49.99 per page (urgent €64.99), delivered in 24–48 hours, for private use and for use abroad. It is not what AIMA, the courts or the civil registries accept.
Do you do sworn translations?
Portugal has no sworn translators. The Portuguese equivalent is the certified translation by a lawyer or notary, €99.99 per page. If an authority has asked you for one, tell us which authority and we confirm what it accepts.
